Dr Martina Emke coordinates a pool of experts in technology-enhanced teaching and learning in higher education, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Sciences of the federal state of North Rhine-Westfalia in Germany. As an Affiiliated Researcher at the Open University, UK, she has been involved in research projects focusing on online language teaching and language teacher professional development. Since 2008, she has been working in projects for the European Centre for Modern Languages, which seek to help language teachers improve their digital teaching skills.

As a Lecturer in Data and Digital Literacies at Moray House School of Education and Sport (University of Edinburgh), I teach courses on Digital Literacy and Technologies in the postgraduate teacher education programme. I am also part of the Data Education in Schools project, whose mission is to educate teachers in South East Scotland about data literacy. My research interests include data and digital literacies, formative assessment and feedback, online learning, and adoption of teaching and learning technologies in primary, secondary and higher education contexts.

He is, since 2014, the UNESCO Unitwin 651 chairholder for "Innovation for sustainable development". As the executive director of the Mediterranean network of engineering schools and faculties (RMEI) he is involved in many programs and activities related to the quality of engineering education, student international mobility, student employability, sustainable development and more recently air quality in urban areas. Prof Boiron is the head of the international Master's programme in Complex system engineering at Centrale Marseille.

Holly Mayton currently serves as the American Institute of Physics Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of State's Office of Agricultural Policy. Holly received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2014 and her Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside in 2018. While at UCR, Holly founded the Science to Policy program, contributed to several California state advisory committees, and worked for the California Council on Science and Technology. Broadly, Holly is passionate about connecting food and water systems science to policy and advocacy outcomes. To that end, she received a Research and Innovation for Agriculture Fellowship to pursue food systems and data-driven policy research in Hanoi, Vietnam as a graduate student. Recently, Holly has served as founding co-Director of the National Science Policy Network and Coordinator for the inaugural Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering and Science Policy Fellowship.

Rachel Kurian is (retired) International Labour Economist at the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research, project and consultancy work deals with migration, human rights, poverty, gender, trade unions and social exclusion in the context of economic restructuring. She has initiated, acquired and led and participated in capacity-building projects in Asia, Africa and Europe, sponsored by key donors including DGIS, FNV, ICFTU, NUFFIC, African Development Bank, Justitia et Pax and the OECD). These projects have resulted in evaluations, professional reports, development of teaching curriculum for Universities and Civil Society Actors, Training of Ambassadors and Diplomats in The Hague. She has collaborated extensively and developed projects with the Municipality of The Hague for the last two decades, undertaken projects with DGIS and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and been a member of the Nationale Adviesraad voor Ontwikkelingssamenwerking.
