Introduction
Holly Mayton currently serves as the American Institute of Physics Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of State's Office of Agricultural Policy. Holly received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2014 and her Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside in 2018. While at UCR, Holly founded the Science to Policy program, contributed to several California state advisory committees, and worked for the California Council on Science and Technology. Broadly, Holly is passionate about connecting food and water systems science to policy and advocacy outcomes. To that end, she received a Research and Innovation for Agriculture Fellowship to pursue food systems and data-driven policy research in Hanoi, Vietnam as a graduate student. Recently, Holly has served as founding co-Director of the National Science Policy Network and Coordinator for the inaugural Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering and Science Policy Fellowship.
