The ethnic population is 100,000. Gansu is mainly spoken in Prschewalsk and Osh; Shaanxi in Kazakhstan, and Fergana, Uzbekistan, also in Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation (Asia), Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
