Online Conference on the "Creativity of Kamoliddin Behzod in the cross-section of artistic culture of the East and West"

An international scientific and practical online conference on the “Creativity of Kamoliddin Behzod in the cross-section of artistic culture of the East and West” will take place on October 16, 2020. This event, organised by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Fine Art and Design, as well as the relevant ministries and agencies, celebrates the 565th anniversary of the great artist and master painter Kamoliddin Behzod. 

Kamoliddin Behzod (also known as Kamaleddin Behzad), was a brilliant artist who made a great contribution to the development of the fine arts with his unique work which has left a significant mark on the history of culture not only of the people of the East but also on the humanities worldwide. As such, the conference aims to promote and popularize his work and the further development of modern schools of miniature, calligraphy, and painting. 

Around 150 speakers are expected to attend the conference which will bring together research and higher education institutions, young scientists, doctoral students and independent researchers from across Uzbekistan and many other countries along the Silk Roads and beyond including the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Japan, Turkey, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. 

The conference will focus on the study of the life of Kamoliddin Behzod, his role in the world of culture and art, his artistic successors, calligraphy and illuminated manuscript and the role and importance of his work in the contemporary fine arts.
