The Exhibition of the Documentary Heritage on the Silk Road

The Exhibition of the Documentary Heritage on the Silk Road from the 16th Century to the 20th Century will be held from 4 to 14 December. This exhibition has been organised by The First Historical Archives of China, with the support of the National Archives Libraries of the respective countries: Czech Republic; France, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Poland, Korea, Spain, Turkey, and the 2001 Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage are the co-sponsor of this event.

 

The Silk Road is more than a trade route, it is a road of friendship that reflects the diversity of cultures around our common heritage. The archives will serve as the evidence of the development of civilizations. The Exhibition of the Documentary Heritage on the Silk Road main aims are to reflect the long history shared along these routes, to contribute to build peace, and to co-create the maritime and land routes of the Silk Roads inspired by our past history.

 

The opening ceremony will take place at UNESCO HQ in Paris on 4 December.
