The Silk Roads Programme

 Nowruz is a rite dating back to the 6th century BCE, marking the ushering in of spring and the new year.

The UNESCO Silk Roads programme is pleased to announce the publication of the 5th edition of the photo album Youth Lens on the Silk Roads: Best Photos from the International Silk Roads Photo Contest.

On 4 December 2024, UNESCO Social and Human Sciences Sector hosted an event at the Organization’s Headquarters to celebrate the upcoming publication of the second volume of the "Thematic Collection of the Cultural Exchanges along the Silk Roads", focusing on ‘Architecture, Monuments and Urbanism’.

UNESCO is pleased to announce the winners of the 6th edition of the "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads” international photo contest.

UNESCO calls on young people around the world, aged 14 to 25 years old, to pick up their cameras and send their best photos to the 6th edition of our Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads contest.
