Boyan Radoykov

Mr. Boyan Radoykov joined the Social and Human Sciences Sector of UNESCO in 1991. He is currently heading the Universal Access and Preservation Section, and supervises the development and implementation of several major UNESCO programmes such as the intergovernmental Information for All Programme (IFAP) and the Memory of the World Programme. His responsibilities also cover the realization by UNESCO of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) outcomes, as well as the promotion and use of multilingualism and the universal access to cyberspace. Mr. Radoykov's overall professional career, that has taken him to more than 110 countries worldwide, has been marked by a strong commitment to international cooperation for peace and sustainable development, and for consolidating the endeavours to build inclusive and participatory global knowledge societies. Holder of a postgraduate diploma in economic studies and of a Ph.D. in political science, he also authored a doctoral dissertation at the University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. Member of the French Institute of International Relations, Mr. Boyan Radoykov has published several books and articles.
