Dr. Timothy Lynch is Deputy Head of Junior School, British International School, Cairo (BISC). An experienced teacher and researcher, he is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK). Tim is an active teacher (school leadership) and researcher - his recent published book is 'Physical Education and Wellbeing: Global and Holistic approaches to child health'. Previously he worked for British Civil Service in Education; University of Plymouth, Institute of Education (UK) 2015-2017; and as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Monash University (Australia) (2011-2015). Prior to that he was at University of Canberra and ACU National.
Tim has twenty years teaching experience as a classroom teacher in primary schools, including Head of Foundation Stage and Key Stage One (English International School, Qatar) and Health and Physical Education specialist teacher. He has also had eight years experience working full time as a teacher/researcher in higher education. Tim has taught in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Australia.
