Children's Quality Holistic Education

Public E-team



The purpose of this E-team is to promote children's quality holistic education in schools (SDG 3, 4 & 5). This is achieved through refinement of the 21stC curriculum and development of core drivers; Metacognition (learning powers), Citizenship (values) and Community (partnerships and belonging). There is an explicit focus on the HOW of learning (implementation), where the curriculum (intent) is interweaved by learning power threads: creativity, energy, resilience, curiosity, courage, exploration, reflection and communication. Pedagogy is chosen with a deliberate aim to nurture children’s emotional literacy and develop consciously their deep-thinking, where they improve their skills and knowledge through solving problems, explaining concepts, investigating, designing, creating, understanding, evaluating, analysing, communicating and applying. All dimensions of learning are used to enhance engagement: spiritual, social and emotional, physical and cognitive.
