Dr Anneke Schmider is the Chief, Research, Policy and Foresight at UNESCO, whose expertise is the use of research, evidence and innovation for policy.
Focusing on global policy, Anneke has delivered a wide range of research, policy and strategy for international development agencies and consortiums, including World Bank, WHO, the I University of Oxford Big Data Institute and Chatham House. Anneke also led research and policy advice for the Resilience Commission, working closely with Research Hubs and international organizations such as the OECD.
At national level, Anneke led research and data teams to deliver new insights for government policy and investment in Australia, including for policy and investments in science, technology and innovation, as well as social and economic policy.
