UNESCO Biosphere Reserves are learning sites for sustainable development that can also contribute to peace-building, especially across borders through the designation of transboundary sites. The Biosphere Reserves and Peace Workshop will be held to raise awareness of the significant role of Biosphere Reserves in promoting peace through transboundary cooperation on biodiversity conservation between neighboring countries.
