Following the cooperation of UNESCO, UNICEF, The World Bank and WFP in the context of the Global Education Coalition UNESCO called upon in March 2020 , and based on the aforementioned Global Framework for Reopening Schools, the UNESCO Office in Beirut, UNICEF Regional Office in Amman and other partner Agencies including UNHCR, WFP, The World Bank and UNRWA will jointly conduct a Regional webinar on school reopening in the Arab States.

The webinar is envisaged as a policy dialogue opportunity that will provide the participants with the opportunity to:
- Be familiarized with the recommendations of the Global Framework for School Reopening jointly developed by UNICEF, UNESCO, WFP and the WB and the main planned interventions of the Regional Action Plan that spells out the UN-agencies support to different important areas.
- Share experiences and promising practices from the Region with regard to preconditions for safe and effective school reopening;
- Share comprehensive recommendations to Ministries of Education in the Arab region, as well as to their partners and stakeholders with regard to issues to be considered towards the upcoming and phased school reopening processes in different countries.
