The exhibition is organized by the Division for Gender Equality in cooperation with permanent delegations. Delegations have nominated artists from 5 regional groups (North American and Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin American and the Caribbean and Arab States) to show artworks that highlight women’s role in sustainable development.
Focused on the theme of women’s role in sustainable development, this exhibition gathers creative expressions from around the world—Turkey, Armenia, Ukraine, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, Egypt, and Bahrein.

Ms. Belkis Ramírez (Dominican Republic), installation artist
Ms. Iris Pérez (Dominican Republic), visual artist
Ms. Raquel Paiewonsky (Dominican Republic), multimedia artist
Ms. Maksuda Iqbal Nipa (Bangladesh), painter
Mr. Mohammad Iqbal (Bangladesh), painter
Mr. Yao Matsoko (Togo), painter and sculptor
Ms. Balqees Fakhro (Bahrein), painter
Ms. Aya Elfallah(Egypt), painter
Ms. Shereen Elbaroudy(Egypt), painter

The opening ceremony will take place March 8 at 17h45. The Director General will give a speech at the opening ceremony.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, this art exhibition invites the public to reflect and experience multiple perspectives of women’s role in sustainable development.
