Sander Chan's picture
Short description:
am a political scientist with over ten years of experience in research, especially on public-private cooperation, transnational climate action and global environmental politics. My research achievements include the development of methodologies to assess the performance of non-state initiatives in sustainable development and climate change; as well as furthering knowledge about local contexts for global governance solutions. My goal is to contribute scientific knowledge for a greener, fairer and resilient future for all. To build links between research and practice, I facilitated dialogues on the role cities, regions, companies, and other groups in climate and sustainability governance; and I have also set up a platform on ‘Non-Economic Loss and Damage’, drawing attention to losses and damages that defy monetization, but still matter to people, especially in developing countries.
