Short description: 
Anish Sugathan is Assistant Professor at the Business Policy Area of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and is Research Affiliate at the International Growth Center at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research interests are in the area of institutional and governance infrastructure of emerging economies that fosters sustainable development of private and public stakeholders. He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the University of Kerala, and is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He was the SAP Labs India doctoral scholar at IIM-B, and the Giorgio Ruffolo post-doctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has previously worked with IBM, BHEL, IIM-Bangalore, Center for Development Studies and Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Business and Government in various capacities. At IIM-A, he teaches courses on corporate sustainability, strategic management, government systems and policy processes, data analysis, and applied econometric methods.

I am, currently working at the Pacific Disability Forum as the Disability Inclusive Development Officer and prior to that I was working as the Information for the Pacific Disability Forum, Campaigns Information and Media Officer at the Consumer Council of Fiji and work as a school teacher in various schools around Fiji under the Ministry of Education. I have worked in these various organisations for a total number of 12 years, gaining technical and thematic experiences working in these different organisations. I have completed a Diploma in Education majoring in Accounting and Economics and have also completed various professional training that has contributed to my professional development over the years of my work. During these years of work, I have worked with governments in the Pacific in either trying to influence its policies to be inclusive or implement its policies to ensure that no one is left behind in development processes. In these years of work, I have worked with the government of Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand. This is working with them in their context as a donor, development partner or implementing partners to projects implemented in their countries.
