Two-time graduate of the London School of Economics, and current PhD student at the University of Cambridge, I am an avid researcher of comparative models of capitalism and how they sculpt the way in which countries deploy varied responses to similar challenges. As part of my doctoral degree, I am uncovering the difference in government and business responses to processes of deindustrialisation, adversely affecting production/manufacturing workers, and how said differences impact the job quality of displaced workers.

I am an academic in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, at the University of Leeds in the UK. My work revolves around practices of migration and migrant lives particularly in connection with migrant integration, citizenship, migrants' rights, intra-EU mobility and migration control. Her work contributes to our critical understanding of how in a globalised world and rising anti-immigrant sentiment, receiving societies accommodate migrant communities, prescribe rights to non-citizens and, in doing do, they transform ideals of citizenship. I have six years of experience in migration research. My research interests are comparative migrants’ rights regimes, immigrant integration and race relations, citizenship, freedom of movement in EU, attitudes towards immigrants and Roma people, unaccompanied minors and the sociology of human rights. I am particularly interested in new and atypical migrations in UK and Europe.

I am currently working with Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi , India as a Professor of Public Administration. My area of specialization are: Public policy management and analysis, administrative restructuring, local governance and decentralization, consumer welfare,. I head the Centre for Consumer Studies which is the think tank of the Department of Consumer Affairs, GoI.
