I’m Franco-Senegalese. I am currently in my second year of doctoral studies in political science at the University of Ottawa. My research focuses on the comparison of peasant mobilizations against land grabbing in Senegal and Colombia, more specifically against the implementation of special economic zones in these two states. I had the opportunity to be invited by the Centre for Afrodescendant Studies at La Javeriana University in Bogota as part of Master degree. This allowed me to conduct a field research in a humanitarian zone of civil resistance in Colombia.
