I am a Professor in coastal processes and Director of the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS), University of Ghana. My research areas include nearshore coastal processes, shoreline dynamics, and coastal erosion complex interactions; shorelines and river systems linkages; new approaches (drone and video) in coastal systems monitoring; sea-level rise and subsidence interrelationships; nature-based solution; sargassum pathways; the blue economy and climate change. I conduct research on healthy ageing and wellbeing with a focus on brain health promotion across the lifespan and risk reduction and prevention of age-related functionality (esp. cognitive functioning) in later life.
