United States Terri Gilbert, MSW, has extensive experience in non-profit organizations, both public/governmental and private sector, and has held leadership positions in large organizations as well as small nonprofits. Her experience spans the human services array including child welfare and juvenile justice, mental health services, human resources, workforce training, and law. Throughout her career, Gilbert has focused on programmatic and organizational improvement, policy advocacy, organizational change initiatives as well as creating and implementing innovations. She is dedicated to developing reforms in child welfare and juvenile justice policy and practice. Gilbert teaches socially just policy advocacy and analysis, child welfare, and administration courses at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She also manages the juvenile justice portfolio of projects for the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi. Ms. Gilbert completed her MSW at the University of Michigan and her BA in Psychology at Oakland University. She also holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Michigan.

I am Jamila Baig, a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science, Studies, and Policy & Geography with a research focus on climate change, fire, and vegetation change in the Pacific Northwest. I have a teaching experience for more than 20 years at higher secondary schools, college to University level in Pakistan, and currently teaching as a teaching assistant at the University of Oregon. I have worked on multiple projects in Pakistan and have received many scholarships in USA and Pakistan. Now, working as an assistant project director on a significant project (0.5million dollars)on climate change and glaciology between the University of Oregon and Karakoram International University that enhances research collaboration and teaching between both Universities for an initial period of two years. I look forward to contributing and acting as a bridge between scientists from many parts of the world to combat climate change and increase community awareness and resilience in the longer term.
