I am (PhD) a university lecturer in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Helsinki. I have been coordinating data collections in Sub-Saharan Africa, namely Kenya. My area of expertise are dietary assessment methods particularly in resource poor settings. I have been pursuing epidemiological research in various populations with focus on associations between diet and obesity. My main main area of interest is nutrition transition in different food systems in low- and lower middle-income countries.
