Introduction
Dr. Sushree Sangita Mohanty specializes in applied anthropology, multilingual education, inclusive heritage management, and language revitalisation. She is the Founding Director of Ekkathaa Welfare Foundation. She works on Indigenous cultural sustainability and inclusive education policies. She holds a Master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the Central University of Hyderabad, India. Dr. Mohanty has led the Mother Tongue Based Multilingual Education program at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, which won the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize (2022).
Expert
Expert in Indigenous language revitalisation, inclusive museum practices, and community-based education. Developed the first Kuvi writing system (an endangered Indigenous Language) and over 40 teaching tools in Indigenous languages. With 14+ years of experience, she has led 15+ projects and published extensively. A board member of the International Journal of the Inclusive Museum, she works with multicultural and multilinguistic communities to promote cultural sustainability and safeguard heritage.
