Introduction
Dr. Sushree Sangita Mohanty is a trained anthropologist with her primary research interest being socio-cultural life, multilingualism, and livelihood vulnerability of indigenous & low-income communities of Odisha. Her doctoral work was at the Central University of Hyderabad, where she explored different dimensions of indigenous changing socio-cultural lifestyles. Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor & Director of a centre to ease the process of multilingual education at KISS University and to build a strong educational foundation in indigenous first-generation learners.

Dr. Mohanty is highly skilled professional working in multi-cultural, multi-ethnic & multi-linguistic communities to develop an inclusive environment for all. She also worked for the Protection of Cultural Heritage. Her work on Early Childhood Care & Education with special reference to Mother Tongue Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) approach has recently bagged the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize 2022 at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Odisha.
