César is a comparative political sociologist. He has investigated topics related to power, conflict and social change both in European and Latin American countries. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals (e.g. Sociology, Acta Sociologica, Social Movement Studies, Revista Española de Sociologia), edited volumes and other outlets, both in English and Spanish language. Furthermore, he has been awarded several competitive grants (H2020-Marie Skłodowska-Curie, FP7 Ingrid Network, Spanish Ministry of Education, DAAD, Foundation of Urban and Regional Research, CLACSO), and also has significant experience as lecturer, consultant for NGOs and government agencies. Having worked and lived in six countries, he is used to working with persons from very diverse backgrounds.
