Principal Fellow, Professor of Political Science and Director at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS,) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Expertise in Political Development, Gender and Politics, and Human Security. Research is on ASEAN Integration, the Governance of the South China Sea, and Promoting Social Inclusion through Public Policies. Two selected publications are: Human Security in Archipelagic Southeast Asia, 2015 (with Sity Daud and Zarina Othman), and Social Constructivism and Malaysia’s International Relations. Akademika Vol 8 No. 1. 39-51 2011 (with Nor Azizan Idris dan Zarina Othman). Her professional engagement includes, among others, as President, Malaysian Social Science Association (PSSM), member of the Council of Security Cooperation in Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Malaysia, and Asst. Sec-General, National Council for Women Organizations (NCWO).
