In present-day Southeast Asian societies, the rapid transformations occurring in the context of globalisation have created new conditions of vulnerability. For millions of people, there exist increasingly complex barriers to full inclusion in society. Many individuals and groups are thus at risk of social exclusion.
Projects in the Southeast Asian region have served to develop the capacities of governments, universities, and CSOs in inclusive policy design. These diverse projects include valorising evidence to support the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities through municipal policies, and encouraging the inclusion of young people through sport.
