Woo Hon Weng is the founder of a "think, act, and innovate tank" Global Eurasia Observatory & Technology (GEOTech). He was previously with ISIS Malaysia and CSCAP (2008-2017) before joining the New Silk Roads Research Project (2018-2023) at the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS). He has completed the coursework of Master in Strategic and Defence Studies from the University of Malaya.

Dr Claudious Chikozho is the Executive Director of the Africa Institute of South Africa, a Research Unit within the Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa. He has more than 20 years of experience in the applied social science research and development sector. Before joining the HSRC, he was working as a Research Director at the Gauteng City-Region Observatory, at Wits University in Johannesburg. His previous positions include working as the Business and Biodiversity Research Chair at the University of Pretoria; Science Uptake Coordinator at the International Water Management Institute in Accra, Ghana; Senior Researcher at the CSIR in Pretoria, South Africa; Research Fellow and Lecturer in development studies at the University of Zimbabwe.
Dr Chikozho holds a Ph.D. in Applied Social Sciences; a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration; and a BSc Honors Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
Over the years, he has published more than 25 peer-reviewed journal papers and book chapters. His ongoing thematic areas of research interest include: sustainable economic development; integrated water resources management and food security; public sector governance, leadership and service delivery; adaptation to climate change; and science, innovation and technology transfer processes.

Nopoor Project - Enhancing Knowledge for Renewed Policies against Poverty
Understanding poverty dynamics and a comprehensive approach with a dedicated research are mandatory in order to explain the persistence and exacerbation of poverty. This is NoPoor Project main’s objective. More than 100 researchers from all over the world explore new areas and innovative methods to improve living conditions in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The Nopoor Project offers the opportunity to diffuse new knowledge in the different disciplines represented in the project (economics, statistics, sociology, law, political sciences, and demography) and expertise about some technics as statistics and surveys.
The project is financed by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration. The project brings new knowledge to policy makers and other stakeholders in the field of poverty alleviation – donors and beneficiaries, civil society and researchers, development practitioners and media.

Short description:
I am a clinical epidemiologist, working as the coordinator of the research unit of the Department of Emergency Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, the National University of Malaysia (UKM). I was part of the team in the recently concluded UKM IKMAS-UNESCO collaborative project on the promotion of social inclusion in public policy; testing out three policy analysis instruments: Inclusive Policy Lab "The Framework for Inclusive Policy Design: Malaysia" , EquiFrame and EquIPP, on the National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation (NPSTI).
