Nopoor Project - Enhancing Knowledge for Renewed Policies against Poverty Understanding poverty dynamics and a comprehensive approach with a dedicated research are mandatory in order to explain the persistence and exacerbation of poverty. This is NoPoor Project main’s objective. More than 100 researchers from all over the world explore new areas and innovative methods to improve living conditions in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The Nopoor Project offers the opportunity to diffuse new knowledge in the different disciplines represented in the project (economics, statistics, sociology, law, political sciences, and demography) and expertise about some technics as statistics and surveys. The project is financed by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration. The project brings new knowledge to policy makers and other stakeholders in the field of poverty alleviation – donors and beneficiaries, civil society and researchers, development practitioners and media.
