Principal Fellow, Professor of Political Science and Director at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies (IKMAS,) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Expertise in Political Development, Gender and Politics, and Human Security. Research is on ASEAN Integration, the Governance of the South China Sea, and Promoting Social Inclusion through Public Policies. Two selected publications are: Human Security in Archipelagic Southeast Asia, 2015 (with Sity Daud and Zarina Othman), and Social Constructivism and Malaysia’s International Relations. Akademika Vol 8 No. 1. 39-51 2011 (with Nor Azizan Idris dan Zarina Othman). Her professional engagement includes, among others, as President, Malaysian Social Science Association (PSSM), member of the Council of Security Cooperation in Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Malaysia, and Asst. Sec-General, National Council for Women Organizations (NCWO).

I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) following closely the implementation of the SDGs and the 'Leave no one behind' principle. I am particularly interested in the impact of urbanisation processes on poverty and inequality.

Dr Dean Dudley is an Associate Professor (Health and Physical Education) in the Macquarie School of Education at Macquarie University. He is also an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Queensland and in the Center of Educational Measurement and Assessment at the University of Sydney. Dr Dudley is a 2012 Churchill Fellow and was an Expert Consultant for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s Quality Physical Education Guidelines and an Independent Specialist in Health and Physical Education by UNESCO's International Bureau of Education.
