Media accessibility concerns access to media and non-media objects, services and environments through media solutions, for any person who cannot or would not be able to adequately access them in their original form. Media accessibility concerns all human beings, from individuals with disabilities to linguistic minorities. Adopting this inclusive approach, the UNESCO E-Team is committed to thoroughly analyzing the challenges related to media accessibility. The focus is on the development of relevant policies and best practices that can effectively ensure media accessibility for everyone, facilitating equal access and participation for all in the digital age. This initiative underlines the importance of adapting and transforming media content and delivery systems to be inclusive and accessible, thus promoting social inclusion and equal opportunities for all members of society.
