SHORT DESCRIPTION

This e-team is dedicated to exploring and addressing the global challenges of the digital divide — the gap between those who have access to digital technology and the internet and those who do not, as well as the divide between those with digital skills to use the internet for beneficial outcomes and those without. This divide exacerbates inequalities in education, employment, healthcare, and civic participation, especially in underserved communities worldwide. Recent world crises have highlighted the importance of digital access and skills and worsened this divide. Our team will explore the latest research to inform policy and practice that align with UNESCO’s goals for reducing inequalities. The aim is to create inclusive digital futures. Membership is open to those interested in fostering a connected and inclusive world through knowledge-sharing and action.
