Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming science, accelerating discovery across disciplines while raising challenges around data governance, transparency, ethics, equity, and access. The AI4Science E-Team brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how AI can advance knowledge responsibly and inclusively. The group will share best practices, map opportunities and risks, and promote frameworks for trustworthy and ethical AI in line with UNESCO principles. It will also support capacity-building to ensure equitable global participation. This E-Team will serve as a hub for dialogue and policy-relevant insights, ensuring AI in science contributes to openness, inclusivity, and societal benefit.
