Introduction
Dr. Vishal Sharma is presently working as Senior Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Electronics, MAM College Cluster University of Jammu, J&K, India. He is former Fulbright Climate Fellow, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Colorado, USA. He is a trained climate reality leader under Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore. He is also Knowledge Hub Coordinator, CSC, Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK, Visiting Academics, The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
He is also Global Goals Ambassador, United Nations association USA (UNA-USA).He is passionate about providing affordable, clean, and sustainable energy to the world and raising public awareness for climate action. His research work is focused on the development of Fully Printable Solar Photovoltaic Devices for mitigating Climate Change and Global Warming. He is also a certified Peer Reviewer for Nature Research and Publons Academy — a part of Web of Science Group, London, UK. Additionally, he has delivered various international talks on Science and Technology, SDGs etc. and received several awards and recognitions such as:
1. Best presentation award from Bharat Ratana Prof. C N R Rao in the Winter-School 2014 on Frontier in Material Science, jointly organized by JNCASR, Bangalore, India and Cambridge University, UK.
2. Best Poster Presentation Award in the “National Conference on Microscopy & Advances in Material Sciences-2015” organized by University of Jammu from March 2-4, 2015.
3. Awarded 2nd Prize in International Conference on Nano Sensors and Technology (ICNST-2010) at CSIO-Chandigarh, India from October 28-30,2010.
4. Selected as a Young Scientist to attend 3rd Science Conclave: A Congregation of Nobel Laureates hosted by IIIT, Allahabad (supported by MHRD & DST, Govt. of India) from Dec. 8-14, 2010.
