My expertise is in Development Economics and Political Economy, with a focus on inequalities, identities, violence, and the local impact of natural resources extraction. I typically exploit large household surveys and other geocoded data to answer new research questions. I worked on Burkina Faso, India, Kazakhstan, and a few Pan-African projects. My work got published in leading journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and World Development.
I have also been a consultant for the United Nations University (UNU-WIDER), taught classes in the Universities of Orléans and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, been an invited researcher at the economics departments of Brown University and of the University of Geneva.
