Dr. Valeria Sinclair-Chapman is professor of political science at Purdue University. She has more than two decades of experience in work dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. In addition to facilitating small group discussions and offering workshops and trainings, Sinclair-Chapman develops innovative approaches to transformational change including the use of imagination, (un)conferences to diversity STEM hiring. She and her partners at Purdue are currently exploring the use of efficiency tools to focus, assess, and adjust DEI activities for concrete, enduring, and meaningful change. Sinclair-Chapman is the author or coauthor of numerous articles and an award-winning book, and active in the discipline of political science.
