Researcher for Fondazione CMCC. I live and work in Venice (Italy) on climate change adaptation in cities: decision making and participatory processes to bridge the gap between science and practice.
I hold a PhD in Science and management of climate change, and two Master degrees, one from Yale School of the Environment (USA), the other from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in architecture and planning.
Expert
I have been part of the European Topic Centre on Climate Change Adaptation, supporting the European Environment Agency, since 2016. I co-manage the European Climate Change Adaptation Platform (Climate-ADAPT) and I am involved on the topic of climate change adaptation in cities. My main focus is to develop knowledge, methods and tools to support decision-making for climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, urban and land-use planning, urban design, and natural resources management by assessing the needs of users and bridging the gap between science and practitioners.
