Global intellectual property law and policy reform should prioritize wider global public interests of society and of knowledge-producing communities; promote equitable sharing; and reflect diverse public interests and economies of different communities. My research advocates a global rule of law within IP law that prioritises agency and compensation in 4 areas (i) creative human workers, (ii) the scientific community, (iii) indigenous and local peoples/farmers, and (iv) humanity’s environment in relation to education, health, education, food sovereignty, and bio-cultural heritage.
