I am a professor in the Department of Political Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. In my research I have been especially interested in the regulation and governance of transnational business. In recent years I have been exploring the role of numbers in global governance, which includes for instance country rankings, benchmarking, algorithmic governance, and digitization more generally. This has included a project on digital threats to democracy.
