I am associate professor (“docent”) of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and head of the research unit Interaction Design and Learning (IDEAL) at the Dept. of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University (SU) in Sweden. My research belongs to the research field of human-computer interaction (HCI) and more in particular to the field of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL). I am interested in the relationship between writing, meaning and technology from socio-cultural and critical perspectives of literacy and tool use. I work with a particular focus on the design, appropriation and use of technologies. Since a sabbatical at UCI in 2014, I have developed an interest in the field of sustainable HCI and civic participation. I hold a PhD in Cognitive Psychology granted by the University of Paris 8.
