Sine Agergaard is a Danish sports scientist. Since 2002, she has been employed by sports institutes at Aarhus University and the University of Copenhagen and in 2018 joined as Professor with special assignment in humanities and social sciences sports research at Aalborg University. She is Head of the Research Group: Sports and Social Issues. She has published research including, "Transnational Perspectives On Sport, Globalization and Migration", "Escaping the position as ‘other’", "Sport, race and ethnicity in the wake of black lives matter", "Migrant athletes and the transformation of physical capital. Spatial and temporal dynamics in West African footballers’ approaches to post-careers."
