Dr. Sharon Tennyson is an economist with a primary research focus is the impact of laws and government regulations on the wellbeing of consumers in markets. Much of her work examines insurance markets, but she has also written on credit cards, prescription drugs, airlines and education. She is a former Director of the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs, and is a faculty Fellow of the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future and a member of the Advisory Board for Cornell's Program on Infrastructure Policy. Dr. Tennyson is Editor of the International Review of Financial Consumers and a Senior Editor of the Journal of Risk and Insurance. She was awarded a Fulbright Global Fellowship in 2019.
