He has a bachelor degree in International Relations at Tec de Monterrey, a Master degreee in International Relations at the University of Bristol and a certificate on studies at the US-Mexican border from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte. He worked as a lecturer at Tecnologico de Monterrey and as part of a consulting team for the Inter-American Development Bank.
