Nerys Defis is a Curriculum Tutor in the faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies at the Open University (OU). With over twenty years of experience of working in the education sector, in both primary schools and higher education settings, Nerys is passionate about widening access and promoting diversity within the teaching workforce. Alongside her lecturing responsibilities within the OU’s primary PGCE team in Wales, Nerys is currently studying for a professional doctorate focussing on children’s use of digital media and families’ perceptions of how this may affect wellbeing.
