Introduction
Mohammed Amidu is a Professor of Accounting and Finance at the University of Ghana Business School. He earned his PhD in Banking from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. He is a researcher with African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Kenya. He has contributed significantly to the accounting and finance literature in the area of accounting information quality, banking, financial inclusion and literacy, livelihood activities, climate change vulnerability, corporate governance and corporate tax policy. He has held Visiting Scholar positions at the IMF, Washington DC, US.
