Introduction
I am an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Wales , Director of UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES UK Hub and Dept Exec. of the global BRIDGES coalition that champions transdisciplinary humanities-driven sustainability science. I am a Director of the Educere Alliance (Oxford University) and Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. I have research expertise in socio-cultural meanings of water and Indigenous environmental knowledge and practices (specifically with regards the Kogi in Colombia and Giriama horticulturalists and herders in rural Kenya) and climate change adaptation.

My work focuses on relationships with the environment with particular attention to the changing behaviour of water around the world. My ethnographic doctoral research attended to the sociocultural and economic consequences of piped water on Indigenous communities who previously relied on the climate for subsistence. I currently edit a book series that considers water, soil, plants and bodies from a New Materialities perspective. I have several accomplishments innovating research methodologies including interdisciplinary multispecies attentive, sensory approaches and alternative pedagogies.
