I am an experienced researcher and leader in the field of Literacy Studies and as such am concerned with authentic experiences of literacy whether in formal education, in the home or in the community. I am particularly interested in the "post-digital" landscape, ie. where the digital is embedded in everyday life, including for children and families. My principle approaches are qualitative, but I include corpus linguistics, surveys, focus groups and a variety of digital approaches.
As Associate Dean for Engagement I network with a huge variety of researchers so am happy to make connections.
