Introduction
Joshua is a senior lecturer in Criminology and Counterterrorism Studies at the University of Lincoln. Over the years he has been involved in projects around counterterrorism and prevention of extremism. Joshua also has some experience in policy design and is able to support projects around public policy design, implementation and training, particularly in the area of Criminal Justice and security.
Expert
Over the last few years, I have been working on projects relating to counter-terrorism policing and policy. In 2014 I graduated with a PhD from the University of Leeds. I am also a serving Magistrate in Lincoln. Prior to this, I read for an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford and also read for a BA on the same subject at the University of Central Lancashire. Previously, I have lectured at the University of Leeds on various subjects such as Terrorism and the Law, Crime and Deviance and the Criminal Justice System and sat on the Board of Trustees of a Housing Association in East Lancashire. Prior to my postgraduate studies, I volunteered as a Special Constable in Merseyside and worked for Local Government, and NHS. I am also an Accredited Researcher at the Office of National Statistics.
