I am Jamila Baig, a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science, Studies, and Policy & Geography with a research focus on climate change, fire, and vegetation change in the Pacific Northwest. I have a teaching experience for more than 20 years at higher secondary schools, college to University level in Pakistan, and currently teaching as a teaching assistant at the University of Oregon. I have worked on multiple projects in Pakistan and have received many scholarships in USA and Pakistan. Now, working as an assistant project director on a significant project (0.5million dollars)on climate change and glaciology between the University of Oregon and Karakoram International University that enhances research collaboration and teaching between both Universities for an initial period of two years.
I look forward to contributing and acting as a bridge between scientists from many parts of the world to combat climate change and increase community awareness and resilience in the longer term.
