My name is Dr. Jack López I am a medical and social anthropologist specialising in barriers to healthcare, sexual health and care ethics. My broader interests are intimate life, gender and intersectional life-course in societies affected by violence and/or conflict. My research region is principally, though not exclusive to Mexico, Latin America and the UK. I am Associate Dean Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences, University of Bradford, UK.

I have worked and researched in the area of sexual and reproductive health for over a decade including health promotion, HIV/AIDs, perinatal care, midwifery, migrant health and transgender health and human rights. Principally in Southeast and Central Mexico. My research on maternal health and obstetric violence has been published and cited broadly in both Latin America and Europe. I have increased the scope of my work to barriers and experience of transition related healthcare in high-middle income countries and challenging enduring gender equalities and gender based violence.
