Federico Rossano is an Associate Professor in Cognitive Science at the University of California, San Diego and the director of the Comparative Cognition Lab. His primary focus is the development of social cognition and cultural participation and extends from the origins of cooperative communication to how children understand social norms and institutions, justice and value. He has investigated some of these topics from a comparative evolutionary perspective by studying both non-human primates and dogs. He collects data cross-culturally, cross-species and cross-ages.
