Associate Professor at the Joint Centre for Disaster Research, Massey University, Wellington where I research the communication of science advice for decision-making in the context of Natural Hazards, with a particular focus on scientific uncertainty. Collaboration and supervision topics include communication of model uncertainty, forecasts, warnings, communication for collective action, building disaster resilience, as well as perceptions and communication of risk. Also on part-time secondment to Toka Tū Ake EQC (NZ's Natural Hazard Insurance Agency) as Senior Advisor Science Communiation.
